Surveys are required to help us understand more about the conditions of the local road network and Surveys are required to help us understand more about the conditions of the local road network, and the vegetation removal is part of the enabling works for the required Highway Improvements. We are aiming to carry out these works over a period of six weeks, which are currently planned to start from 9 February 2026.
To carry out these works safely, some parts of the road network need to be temporarily closed to through traffic during working hours (8am and 5pm) on the following dates:
- 9 February 2026 to 20 March 2026: Closure of Wheelers Hill and Cranham Road (Permit numbers: EP40094474144 and EP40054705873).
Access will be maintained for residents, emergency service vehicles, and pedestrians at all times during this period.

All activity on-site is being carried out in line with the requirements of the development consent for Longfield. This includes agreeing the details of the activities with your local councils and notifying emergency services prior to starting on-site.
